Grooming Tools
Below is a list of grooming tools you will need to care for your Hav's coat:
- Pin Brush. One pin brush very popular with Havanese owners is the Chris Christensen #20, or #27 depending on the size of the dog. The numbers refer to the length of the pins.
- Greyhound Comb…one that has medium teeth on one end, and fine on the other.
- Flea Comb…You will use this for combing foreign substances from your dog's eye area.
- Small Slicker Brush for using on lower leg hair.
- Nail Clippers or Nail Sander.
- Scissors for trimming between pads and around feet.
- Thinning Scissors for use around genital area.
- Hemostat or tweezers
- Coat Conditioner or Coat Oil
- Spray Bottle…for misting your dog's coat during grooming.
- Hair Bands

Items you will probably want to add when possible:
- Grooming Table. The small size, or for smaller Havs a sturdy ringside table works fine.
- Blow Dryer. These are special for dog coats. Rather than drying with heat, they actually blow the water off the dog's coat.
