Havanese Coat Colors: An Overview

Havanese come in almost any color imaginable. The patterns vary from Solids to Brindles and Sables, and on to the more dramatic Irish Pieds and Partis. Perhaps the most dramatic of all being that of the Parti Belton which matures into “ticking” almost reminiscent of a Dalmatian’s coat pattern.

Puppy Buyers should consider themselves forewarned that purchasing a Havanese because of a specific coat color is unwise. Havanese continue to change colors throughout their lives. This “coat of many colors” is a fascinating trait of the little dogs.
