About Cynado
Cynado Havanese...pronounced cyn-AWE-doe, is located on 35 acres near
Loveland Colorado, gently nestled into the foothills of the Rocky
Mountains.
The driving force behind Cynado Havanese is Cynthia Rust, an award
winning sculptor. Cynthia's limited edition bronze sculptures have
appeared in numerous juried exhibitions across the United States,
including shows at The Palm Springs Desert Museum and The North
American Sculpture Exhibition.
The other passion in Cynthia's life has long been breeding
Pinto-Arabian horses. Recently due to health reasons, a change needed
to be made.
"We sold all of the horses but one, and I began looking for a toy dog
breed that would better fit into my altered lifestyle. In 2001 when I
began reading about and visiting with Havanese, I was totally smitten.
These enchanting animals have captured my entire family's hearts and
their hypo-allergenic coats have been a blessing for many in our family
who previously had to limit their canine contact."
"The joy of art can be found in many venues, and I find breeding horses
and dogs to be as much an art form as sculpting. Both take a good eye,
a LOT of research, and most importantly, blessings from above."
The Havanese in our lives are members of our family. They live in our
home. They sleep in our bedroom at night in crates, and otherwise
pretty much have the run of the house and my sculpture studio during
the day. When I go to work, they come with me. When I go to town for a
coke, they come with me. They are my best friends, my babies, and my
confidants... and their constant antics are a primary source of
entertainment for the entire family."
My goal in creating this website, is to leave the Havanese breed a
little better than it was when I found it...and to leave a few more
people in love with the breed after me, to help insure the future
well-being of these absolutely charming
creatures."..............Cynthia Rust
Please Note:
We are not breeding Havanese at this time. There are a number of
websites to get you started looking in the right direction on our links
page. It is up to you to do your own homework and make certain the dog
you get is the right one for you.
If you are looking for a pet, please don't forget about the
rescue groups who work hard to insure that ALL Havanese, and part
Havanese deserve a home.
